How accurate is your mobile phone GPS? Increase its precision by repeated location. 'Precise GPS' application activates repeatedly GPS sensor for averaging of geographical coordinates. More precise estimation of position is useful for geocaching, location or relocation of permanent plots, important places, hardly visible geodetic points etc. The best preciseness was found 1-2 m after 1-6 hours of continuous measurement. Results depend on actual satellite constellation and quality of the GPS sensor. Use at least 30-50 independent measurements for better averaging of GPS coordinates. Precise GPS PRO version includes management of averaged positions, navigation to saved locations, more precise weighted averaging, Google Earth connection and several other improvements.
